Age 70, of Silver Springs, Fla., formerly of Dale, NY, died January 23, 2010 at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
She was born January 26, 1939 in Buffalo, daughter of the late Grant Mead and the late Eva Whitmore Mead Messina. Along with her late husband, she owned and operated Rutherford Lodge, an adult care facility in Dale, for many years. Mrs. Rutherford enjoyed crocheting and reading and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the Red Hat club. She was predeceased by her husband, Everette “Jim” Rutherford who died February 4, 2009.
Surviving are her children, Candy (Chuck) Albanese of Florida, Terry (Ruth) Rutherford of Warsaw, Kim (Larry) Barber of Perry, Tom (Margo) Rutherford of Warsaw, Scott (June) Mead of Chili, NY, Sharon (Andy) Brant of Warsaw, Jeanie (Wayne) Relyea of Avon, Gena (Sharon) Rutherford of Wayland, Sandi (Wade Burgess) Diehl of Silver Springs, Fla., Tim (Cheryl) Rutherford of Warsaw, Mary Cessna of LeRoy, Marlene Hordeman of Silver Springs, Fla.; her siblings, Robert Mead of Perry, Gary (Caroline) Mead of Dundee, Elaine (Jim) DiSalvo of Mt. Morris, Tim Messina of Warsaw, Sue (Gerald) Dukelow of Warsaw; her sister in law, Nancy Mead of Silver Springs, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jim Rutherford and sister of the late Richard Mead.
Friends may call Sunday, January 31 from 1 – 4 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held immediately following calling hours at 4 PM.
