Debra J. Herman

March 16, 1953 - November 18, 2017

Age 64, of Attica, NY passed away on November 18, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital.

She was born March 16, 1953 in Warsaw, NY daughter of the late Wilson Parmerter and Margaret Murtha Parmerter of Wethersfield. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse with the New York State Department of Corrections both at Attica Correctional Facility and Wyoming Correctional Facility. She also worked at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

Debra loved sewing, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time on the Lake Ontario beach in Canada during the summers. Debra always enjoyed spending time with her large family and especially enjoyed her time with her mother, visiting area coffee shops, conversations and shopping.

Along with her father, Debra is predeceased by her brother, Jeffrey Parmerter.

Surviving along with her mother are her loving life partner, Michael Speck of Attica; her children, Ryan P. (Kara) Herman of Warsaw, Randyn P. (Emily) Herman of Warsaw; stepchildren, Kristy (Shawn) Wise of Attica, Jason Speck of Chandler, AZ; nine grandchildren; her siblings, Dennis (Debbie) Parmerter of Virginia, William (Judy) Parmerter of Wethersfield, Lori (Edward) Kibler of Greece, NY, Ellen (Mike) Miller of East Berne, NY, Neil (Brenda) Parmerter of Wethersfield; sister-in-law, Marilyn Parmerter of Wethersfield; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, November 28 from 1 – 4 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where Debra’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 4 PM. Memorials may be made in Debra’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
