Deborah L. Leonard

June 16, 1951 - June 28, 2011

Age 60, of Route 20A West in Warsaw, died June 28, 2011 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo.

She was born June 16, 1951 in Warsaw, daughter of the late Howard and Martha Bolton Matteson. Deborah was a graduate of Letchworth Central School Class of 1970 and a graduate of Genesee Community College in 1998 with an Associates degree in Accounting and Business. She was employed for 15 years as a sales associate at Wal Mart in Warsaw. Deborah enjoyed quilting and crafts. She enjoyed camping and traveling and loved spending time with her family.

Deborah was predeceased by her husband, Lester Dieter who died in 1981.

Surviving are her daughters, Deborah (Joe) Hurlburt of Hornell, Wendy (Paul) Tousey of Castile, Priscilla Hulbert of Perry, Jessica Dieter of Warsaw; her son, Brian Strozewski of Avon; her siblings, Tom (Trudy) Matteson of Florida, Duane (Denise) Matteson of Warsaw, Lydia (Wesley) Schneckenburger of Wyoming, Dawn (Bob) Woodruff of Holland, NY, Myra Snyder of Nunda, Rhonda Skill of Silver Springs, George (Vicky) Matteson of Silver Springs; 18 grandchildren including Holly (Shawn) Walczak, Serena Strozewski, Nikole Bodine, Brooke Tousey, Dylan Tousey and Morgan Hulbert; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Adam Hurlburt.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 2 beginning at 10 AM at the family home, 4276 State Route 20A West, Warsaw. Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm & Carlton Sts., Buffalo, NY 14263. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw.
