Age 72, a resident of East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, formerly of Bliss, died December 10, 2009 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born July 10, 1937 in Warsaw, son of the late Frank and Florence Hale Ikeler. For many years he owned and operated Ikeler Farms in Bliss where he raised registered Holsteins. He was an avid card player and was a former member of Triluminar Lodge #543 Free & Accepted Masons.
Surviving are his sisters, Viola Henry of Palmyra, Barbara (Carl) Stoffer of Gainesville; his brothers, Fred Ikeler of Bliss, David (Nancy) Ikeler of Lansing, NC; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frank Ikeler and step brother of the late Mildred Ellis.
There are no calling hours. A service will be held Monday at 1 PM at Bliss Baptist Church, Main St., Bliss. Burial will be in Wethersfield Cemetery, Smith Corners. Barb, I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing but I am sure he is no longer suffering and is pain free. He is working on the farm again and is very happy!!
