Clarence Ray Schneckenburger

April 6, 1919 - February 20, 2010

Clarence Ray Schneckenburger, 90, of 164 Brooklyn Street, Warsaw, died February 20th, 2010 at Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, N.Y.

He was born in Warsaw April 6, 1919 to Raymond and Maude Crane Schneckenburger.  He was preceded in death by his father and brought up by his step father, Earl Wilcox.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Irma Tavernier Schneckenburger.

He worked as a Union Carpenter in Buffalo for over 40 years.  He was a former member of the Warsaw Fire Department and was Fire Chief from 1965 to 1967. He was also a member of the Warsaw Volunteer Exempt Firemen, Loyal Order of the Moose #560 in Warsaw and the Wyoming County Veterans Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Wilbur) Gammon of Ridgeway, Va., two sons John (Sue) Schneckenburger and Gerald (Linda) Schneckenburger all of Warsaw, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held Sunday at the Dale Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Warsaw Moose Club, N. Main St., Warsaw on Sunday, February 28 at 2 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Warsaw Fire Department or Dale Baptist Church. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw. Online condolences at http://www.robinsonandhackemer.com.

IM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT CLARENCE PASSING AND HIS WIFE..I GOT TO KNOW BOTH OF THEM FROM WORKING AT ARS IN WARSAW. THEY BOTH WERE GREAT PEOPLE. AND I HAD THE PLEASURE OF BEING FRIENDS WITH THEM. THEY WILL BE MISSED.
