Celeste H. Brady

October 10, 1903 - April 3, 2010

Age 106, a resident of the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, formerly of Rochester St., Warsaw, died April 3, 2010 at the nursing facility.

She was born October 10, 1903 in Warsaw, daughter of the late William and Bridget Mackin Hannon. She was a registered nurse at Wyoming County Community Hospital and was also a private duty nurse for many years. She was a member of the Park Avenue Hospital Alumni Association in Rochester. Mrs. Brady was a lifetime active member of St. Michael’s Church in Warsaw where she served as sacristan for over 20 years. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society of the church and was a daily mass attendee until the age of 95. She was a recipient of the Buffalo Diocesan St. Joseph the Worker Award and the St. Michael the Archangel Award for service to the parish. Celeste was a strong supporter and benefactor of the former St. Michael’s School.

Mrs. Brady was predeceased by her husband, George Brady who died in 1969 and she is also predeceased by brothers and sisters. She is survived by many friends.

Friends may call Tuesday 3 – 6 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Warsaw.
