Bruce R. Proper

June 19, 1949 - September 25, 2017

Age 68, formerly of Rock Glen, NY, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.

His passion was tinkering with his cars and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed camping with his family.

He was born to the late Arlene (Bender) and Raymond Proper on June 19, 1949. He was employed for many years at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy, NY and Gibney Monuments in Perry, NY.

Bruce is predeceased by his parents and his brother Richard (Penny) Proper.

He leaves behind his loving daughter Tamila Lynn (Jeffrey) Kaczmarek, grandson Zachary Kaczmarek and granddaughter JennaRae Kaczmarek, all of Depew, NY. He also leaves behind a brother Brian Proper of Boynton Beach FL and sisters Brenda (Jack) Proper of Rochester, NY and Robin (David) Elliott of Las Vegas NV, as well as nieces and nephews and their families.

Friends may call Saturday September 30, 2017 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N Main St. Warsaw, NY where Bruce’s funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 12 PM. Memorials may be made to the Gainesville Fire Department, Gainesville, NY 14066.

I got to know Bruce from transporting him on the CATS bus from home to Happiness House. He could be quite a character on his bus rides.I will miss the fish fries at Tom Walls,his sense of humor and his friendship.I will cherish the pictures and crafts you made for me. RIP Bruce Your friend Grandpa

Bruce was such a fun loving guy We loved hanging out especially the time we went snowmobiling and he was asked by the trooper if he had snowmobile insurance he made a funny face and finally said who me? Finally he didn’t know what to say and finally said no. Bruce had a great sense of humor and I will never forget that of him God bless you Bruce and your family
