Age 94, of Blackhouse Rd., Warsaw, died May 5, 2011 at the Wyoming County Nursing Home in Warsaw.
He was born June 23, 1916 in Sharon, PA son of the late Benjamin and Viola Carnes Bell. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II. Mr. Bell was a mechanical engineer and former Assistant Plant Manager at Bethlehem Steel Company in Buffalo. He then served as business office manager for the Rome Developmental Center in Rome, NY.
Mr. Bell was a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Batavia and he enjoyed gardening and barbershopping.
Surviving are his wife, Milda Gertz Bell, whom he married in 1941; his sons, Dr. David (Phyllis) Bell of Warsaw, Charles (Susan) Bell of Warsaw; his daughter, Anita (David) Born of Cooperstown; his sister, Mary Henderson of Erie, PA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late William Bell.
Friends may call Saturday 1 – 3 PM at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held immediately following calling hours at 3 PM. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.
