Age 78, of Ribaud Ave., Silver Springs, died May 22, 2011 at Millard Fillmore Hospital Gates Circle in Buffalo following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 23, 1932 in Silver Springs, daughter of the late Louis and Blanch Gardner McLaughlin. She was employed for many years in the office at Champion Products in Perry. Arvilla was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Pike and the later in Bliss. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Silver Springs. Arvilla enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting and watching soap operas and she was devoted to her dog, Lucky.
Arvilla was predeceased by her husband, Frank Stevens who died February 22, 2011.
Surviving are her daughter, Wendy (Doug) Scott of Lamont; her son, Mark Aubert of Silver Springs; her grandchildren, Tanya (Brett) Smith, Shane (Ricci) Scott, Ryan (Ella) Aubert, Amanda Spencer; 9 great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Peter D. Scott.
Friends may call Wednesday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a service will be held Thursday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Silver Springs. Memorials may be made to the Silver Springs Rescue Squad or to the family.
