Feb 20.17 from Robert E Dietrich:
I am very sad to have to write this as I have many fond memories of Alan. He and I shared a common interest, old cars and auto racing, especially at Watkins Glen where many a day in my youth was spent there. My memories of Alan is that he was too kind for the turbulence of today's society and to generous for the chaos in the world today. I am sure that he has left a treasury of wonderful memories that will keep in alive in the mind and hearts of his family. My prayers are with them all at this difficult time..
