Alice DeLaVergne

April 7, 1920 - August 29, 2018

Age 98, of Perry, died August 29, 2018 at the Livingston Co. Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris.

She was born April 7, 1920 in Linwood, NY, daughter of the late Edward and Isabel Copeland Noble.

Alice owned and operated DeLaVergne Farms in Covington with her husband, Robert, whom she married December 7, 1946. Alice loved being the wife of a farmer and all its joys and burdens. She lived in service to her family. Her recipe book was treasured for the secret of her potato salad. Alice was a member of the Covington Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Judson DeLaVergne, daughter, Mary Kathryn Lampkins, grandson, John Lampkins, sister, Janet Crocker, brothers, Ellsworth and Larry Noble, and dear friend, Annie DeLaVergne.

Surviving are her sons, David (Sandra) DeLaVergne of Pavilion, Dennis (Susan) DeLaVergne of Perry; grandchildren, Brooks DeLaVergne, Andrew DeLaVergne, Adam DeLaVergne, Beth Hunt, Jim Lampkins; great grandchildren, Serena DeLaVergne, Lauren Lampkins, Ace Lampkins; sister-in-law, Jean Noble; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday, September 2nd from 2 to 4 pm at Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw where a funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 4pm.
