Albert N. Miller

October 6, 1914 - November 23, 2012

Age 98, of W. Park Rd., Castile, died November 23, 2012 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born October 6, 1914 in Centerville, NY, son of the late Ernest and Ethel Hammer Miller. In early years, Albert worked for various area farmers. He then worked for several years driving oil truck first for Blythe Oil Company in Perry and then for Crawford Oil in Perry. He retired as a truck driver for Crossett Oil Co. Albert served as a member of the Castile Village Board of Trustees for over 15 years. In his retirement, his greatest joys were taking care of his lake property in Pike and helping his family on various projects.

Mr. Miller was predeceased by his wife Carolyn, whom he married on November 19, 1935. She died September 8, 2012.

Surviving are his children, Douglas (Sally) Miller of Castile, Audrey Evangelist of Honeoye Falls, Dennis (Dawn) Miller of Castile; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Burdette Miller and grandfather of the late Bruce Beaumont.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at Alger Cemetery, Route 19, Hume, NY at 11 AM. Memorials may be made to the Castile Fire Department, Castile, NY 14427 or the Wyoming Community Hospital Foundation, 400 N. Main St., Warsaw, NY 14569. Arrangements are being completed by Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, Castile, NY.
